our story

Formed in August 2016. Zeddemore is an alternative rock band from Melbourne, Florida. Forming after members Bradley Burton (The Heart Ring) and John Bridges (The Knick Knacks) had recently departed from local bands, they started talking about creating a new project and reached out to Alex Petrosky (Local 518) and Brian Roberts (Dub321) Immediately after the first jam session there was a connection. Zeddemore’s music is dynamic, from crunchy rock riffs to driving epic sounding drums and bass, with articulate vocals that speak of self-empowerment, perseverance, and love. Influences range from classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to the alternative rock legends Incubus and Sound Garden as well as music from pop, funk, and punk genres. The band released its first single “Don’t Fear My Love” in 2018 followed by their 5 track debut self-titled EP recorded at Melbourne based Rocky Water Studios with Stuart Richardson (Thursday, No Devotion).

In 2020 the band took a break due to the Covid epidemic. During that time Brian decided to step away from the band for personal reasons and focus on his family and career. The group decided it was time to move forward and search for a new bass player. They had jammed with Richard Garrahan the year prior for a Incubus cover show and asked Rich if he had interest in joining the group. After a couple jam sessions, Rich said yes and became Zeddemore’s new bass player. John was also jamming with a piano/synth player, Brendan Hasson, and after a few sessions Brendan jammed with the whole band and joined the group as the piano/synth player. Before the new members joined Bradley, Alex, and John, were finishing up the 2nd EP which includes Brian Roberts on bass and scheduled for a Fall 2020 release. The new group is currently writing new music and plans on getting into the studio with Stuart Richardson at Rocky Water Studios at the end of 2020.
